The Plasma Ball is a fun and colourful way of observing electrical discharges. Simply plug it in with the USB adapter or power with batteries, and then place your hand or finger on the globe to control the strongest and brightest filaments.
The plasma lamp was invented by Nikola Tesla, during his experiments with high-frequency currents in an evacuated glass tube, for his studies on high voltage phenomena. The modern plasma lamp design was subsequently developed by Bill Parker, a student at MIT.
