A great way to introduce the old argument of which came first.. the chicken or the egg?

This wooden puzzle shows development from an egg, through to the hen siting on the eggs in 4 puzzle layers. 

The first layer is a 2-piece puzzle of chicken egg, the second layer is a 4-piece puzzle showing the egg hatching, the third layer is 6-pieces showing the chicken eating feed.  The final layer is a 9-piece puzzle showing the chicken sitting on its own eggs.
